Our Mission: To worship our crucified and risen King in the rich Anglican tradition, to make Him known in our community by what we say and do, and to grow as a church family.

Christ the King is a worshiping community in the city of Alexandria. Our life is centered on Jesus Christ and our identity is shaped by His Word. We seek to grow as friends and neighbors in the city of Alexandria, serving one another with hospitality, humility, and joy.

Christ the King began in 2006 when a small group of men and women began to pray for a new church in the city of Alexandria.  After a year of planning and praying, Christ the King opened its doors for our first service of public worship at Alexandria Country Day School. Within a year, we relocated to our current location at 1801 North Quaker Lane. We have kept our priorities clear: to worship God, to grow as family, and to live out the Gospel.

Christ the King is a member of the Anglican Church of North America and the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic.

The Finance Team at Christ the King is responsible for overseeing the church's financial health, ensuring proper stewardship of resources to support its mission. This team manages budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting while also coordinating fundraising efforts and monitoring expenditures. Their work ensures that the church can effectively carry out its worship and community service initiatives while remaining fiscally responsible.
