Stephen Jones

Stephen Jones serves as the Vice President, Editor, and Head of Research for the Post-War and Contemporary Art department at Christie's since January 2010, overseeing the commissioning, research, writing, and editing of various written materials while managing a team of research assistants and freelance writers. Additionally, Stephen has contributed to Christie's Education as Visiting Faculty since May 2018, teaching graduate seminars and continuing education courses focused on postwar and contemporary art. Prior experience includes a decade as a Senior Broadcast Journalist at BBC News, where responsibilities included programme editing for multiple news platforms. Stephen's academic credentials include a Master of Studies in Literature and Arts from the University of Oxford, a Certificate of Higher Education in Art History from the same institution, and a Master of Arts in Modern Art, Connoisseurship and the History of the Art Market from Christie's Education, among other qualifications in communication and journalism.
