Lucien Jacky has a diverse work experience in the field of molecular diagnostics and research. Lucien has held various roles at different companies, including ChromaCode, Inc., MDxHealth, Focus Diagnostics, University of California Irvine Pharmacology, Rigshospitalet, Wilhelm Johannsen Centre, and OHSU.
At ChromaCode, Inc., Lucien currently holds the position of Technical Fellow & Associate Vice President, where they are responsible for technical leadership and management. Lucien previously served as the Head of Technology Assessment and the Head of Advanced Technology Group.
At MDxHealth, Lucien worked as a Senior Product Development Scientist, leading projects in the development and validation of advanced epigenetic diagnostic tests. Lucien played a key role in switching to automation for methylation specific quantitative PCR workflow.
At Focus Diagnostics, Lucien held roles as a Scientist R&D Product Development, Associate Scientist Product Development, and R&D Research Associate. Lucien'sresponsibilities included developing molecular diagnostic tests for infectious diseases, optimizing PCR chemistry, designing consumables for Real-Time PCR assays, and developing software for assay execution and analysis.
Lucien's earlier experiences include working as a Staff Research Associate II at the University of California Irvine Pharmacology, where they managed a laboratory and conducted research on circadian clock and spermatogenesis knockout mice. Lucien also worked as a Research Assistant at Rigshospitalet, where they designed and constructed fusion protein expression plasmids.
Lucien's research experience includes serving as a Research Stipendant at the Wilhelm Johannsen Centre, where they conducted breakpoint analysis of human chromosomal translocations related to mental retardation using FISH mapping.
Lucien's earliest work experience was as a Dish and Buffer Technician at OHSU, where they were responsible for preparing lab ware, solutions, and buffers for molecular biology.
Overall, Lucien has a strong background in molecular diagnostics, assay development, and research, with a focus on infectious diseases and epigenetic diagnostics.
Lucien Jacky received a Master of Science (MS) degree in Evolutionary Genetics from the University of Oregon, where they studied from 2000 to 2004. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology with a minor in Physical Chemistry from the same institution, studying there from 1995 to 2000. In addition to their formal education, Lucien also obtained certifications in Reproducible Research and Advanced R Programming from Coursera in December 2018 and September 2018, respectively.
