Joone Hur

Joone Hur is a Principal Software Engineer at Microsoft since April 2024, with extensive experience in software engineering and contributions to major projects. As a Chromium Committer since November 2016, Joone has worked on various aspects of Chromium, focusing on accessibility, headless technologies, and UI components. Joone has also served as a WebKit Committer since January 2011, contributing to accessibility and performance improvements. Previous positions include Software Engineer roles at Diffbot and Samsung Electronics, where Joone developed cloud-based web rendering solutions and mobile browsers. Joone's experience at Intel Corporation involved enhancing digital signage technologies, and significant roles at Collabora Ltd and Roku Inc. reinforced expertise in web technologies. Joone holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from Kyung Hee University.
