Prashant Nevase

Prashant Nevase is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in web browser graphics and performance optimization. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft since April 2021, Prashant focuses on developing next-generation experiences for the Edge Browser. Additionally, Prashant has contributed as a Committer for Chromium since January 2014, working on enhancing dark mode performance and compositing modules. Previously, Prashant held the position of Staff Engineer at Samsung Electronics, where leadership in teams focused on dark mode features and optimizing performance in chromium-based browsers across multiple platforms. Other notable roles include Team Lead at AgreeYa Mobility and Persistent Systems, where Prashant led web browser graphics projects and significantly contributed to the development of web technologies and frameworks. Prashant holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science & Engineering from Walchand College of Engineering, completed in 2002.
