Xiao Wang

Lead Scientist at ChromoLogic LLC

Xiao Wang has a diverse work experience in various scientific roles. Starting in 2005, they worked as a Research Assistant at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, where they focused on developing water-based UV-curable polyurethane acrylic resins for leather finishing. In 2008, they joined Stony Brook University as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant, where they worked on developing high-efficiency membranes for water purification and gained experience in teaching general and physical chemistry labs. Xiao also mentored high school students in independent research projects. In 2014, they worked as a Polymer Chemist at Vascular Simulations and as an Instructor at St. Joseph's College. From 2015 to 2016, they served as a Joint Research Scientist at Stony Brook University. In 2016, they joined SRI International as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and later became a Chemist II. Finally, in 2019, they joined ChromoLogic LLC as a Senior Scientist and is currently employed there. In this role, they provide disruptive solutions for customers based on multidisciplinary knowledge and has successfully secured funding for three proposals from the Department of Defense Small Business Innovation Research program in 2022.

Xiao Wang received a Bachelor's degree in polymer science and engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology in 2005. Continuing their education, they pursued a Master's degree in the same field at the same university, which they completed in 2008. Additionally, Xiao Wang obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in chemistry with a specialization in membrane science and technology from Stony Brook University in 2013.
