Julia Chevan

Sr. Program Manager, Center for Advancing Healthy Communities

Julia Chevan is a physical therapist, public health practitioner, and educator with extensive experience in academia and clinical practice. They served as a professor and chair of the Department of Physical Therapy at Springfield College from 1993 to 2023, and held visiting professor positions as a Fulbright Scholar at both the University of Rwanda College of Medicine and Health Sciences and Rīga Stradiņš University in 2011 and 2023, respectively. Currently, they are the Senior Program Manager at the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors, focusing on advancing healthy communities. Julia's education includes an MPH in Health Policy and Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a DPT from Arcadia University, and a PhD in Health Related Science from Virginia Commonwealth University, among other degrees. Passionate about fostering a just healthcare landscape, Julia combines their scholarship with a light-hearted approach to learning and teaching.
