Lisa Schmunk

Lisa Schmunk is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in research and development, particularly in the fields of genomics and biomarker development. Currently serving as R&D Manager at Hurdle since March 2022, Lisa has progressed through various roles, including Senior Research & Development Scientist and Science Development Representative. Prior experience includes significant tenure at the University of Cambridge, where Lisa held positions as a Postdoctoral Researcher and PhD Student in Integrative Human Genomics. Additionally, Lisa has contributed as a Visiting Researcher at the Wellcome Sanger Institute and has engaged in consultancy and educational initiatives, including participation in the Wellcome Genome Startup School for Genomics and Biodata. Lisa's educational background includes a PhD from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree from the University of Freiburg, focusing on biology and associated research methodologies.
