Derek Patten

Derek Patten has extensive experience in claims management, serving as Senior Claim Director at Chubb from May 2021 to March 2024, where responsibilities included negotiating multi-million dollar cases and presenting to Construction Underwriters on New York Labor Law. Prior to this role, Derek held various positions at AIG from March 1993 to February 2021, including Assistant Vice President-Executive Claim Director and Complex Claims Manager. In these roles, Derek managed teams of adjusters across the United States, focusing on high exposure construction claims and ensuring adherence to company best practices in claims evaluation and resolution. Derek holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from Montana State University, obtained between 1981 and 1986.
