Mehmet Unal, Ph.D., P.E., is an accomplished catastrophe risk modeling scientist with over nine years of experience specializing in earthquake and wildfire perils. Currently serving as the Assistant Vice President of the Chubb Science Center, they have previously held roles at CoreLogic, where they led the development of vulnerability models for catastrophe risk modeling software. Mehmet has also contributed to academia as a Teaching Fellow at Penn State University and a Teaching Assistant at Middle East Technical University, earning a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Penn State University. With a strong background in structural engineering and robust programming skills, they deliver data-driven solutions for complex risk management challenges.
