Michael Surell, CPCU, is the AVP of the N.A. Small & Lower Midmarket Region Lead for the Mid-Atlantic at Chubb, a position held since 2024. They previously served as an Executive Underwriter and Team Lead in the Lower Middle Market and as a Senior Underwriter. Prior to joining Chubb, Michael was a Senior Program Underwriter at Maury Donnelly & Parr Inc from 2017 to 2023 and held various underwriting roles at Liberty Mutual Insurance and Harford Mutual Insurance Company between 2011 and 2017. Michael earned a degree in Finance from the University of Maryland in 2011.
