Steve McCoy

Steve McCoy is the SVP and Chief Underwriting Officer at Chubb, bringing over 20 years of underwriting experience to the role. They have a strong background in short- and long-term disability, group life, and voluntary benefits underwriting, with a notable history of achieving growth and profit objectives. Currently, Steve has national responsibility for Unum’s jumbo voluntary benefits underwriting organization and provides leadership on market development, compensation strategy, product development, and process optimization. Previously, they held various underwriting roles at Unum, managing responsibilities for the 500 - 2,000 life market in the South region. Steve earned both a Master's in Business Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
