Carrie Ryan

Carrie Ryan has extensive work experience in various roles, starting with their current position as a Senior Frontend Engineer / Technical Lead at Concord Direct. In this role, they introduce the nonprofit sector to modern web development practices and mentors junior and mid-level engineers. Carrie has also researched and integrated A/B testing for Concord Direct's largest digital services client.

Prior to their current role, Carrie worked as a Team Lead / Frontend Engineer at Embrace Pet Insurance, where they led project teams, facilitated Scrum events, and presented project updates to stakeholders. Carrie was also involved in the rebranding of Embrace's website, policy purchase application, and customer portal, acting as the main point of contact and code reviewer for contractors. Carrie created documentation and trained contractors on Embrace's applications and the use of Contentful.

Carrie also has experience at Emerson, where they worked as a Software Developer and served as the team's scrum master. In this role, they prioritized projects and gathered requirements for various brands under Emerson's Commercial Residential division.

Additionally, Carrie worked as a Frontend Engineer at Be Fitness and as a Full Stack Developer at United Consumer Financial Services. At UCFS, they were the lead UX, UI, and front-end developer, creating and maintaining ASP.NET web and console applications.
