Mike Watkins has a extensive work experience in the software engineering field. Mike started their career in 1998 at Datatech SmartSoft, Inc. as a Software Engineer where they designed a data hygiene web service and implemented a SQL Server Schema for logging data. Mike also worked as a QA Test Automation Engineer and automated 90% of functional testing by developing a reusable data-driven test framework.

In 2005, Mike joined SoftPro as a Test Automation Lead, where they led the development of a test automation framework using .NET UI Automation interfaces and Windows Workflow 3.5.

In 2010, they worked at XS, Inc. as an Automation Lead (Contract) and implemented an automated testing and continuous integration system using VB.NET.

Mike then joined iContact in 2011 as a QA Automation Engineer. Mike re-architected a Behavioral Driven test automation framework using Cucumber and Ruby, providing an easily maintainable and scalable automation framework.

In 2012, they joined Vocus as a Software Engineer, where they successfully ported the LAMP iContact Email Marketing platform to .NET for integration into a larger Marketing Suite product.

From 2014 to 2017, Mike worked at Cision as a Senior Software Engineer and later as a Manager of Software Engineering. Mike provided leadership in a fast-paced environment, oversaw the technical implementation and launch of Cision's flagship PR product, and defined development workflows for development teams.

Currently, Mike is working at ChurnZero as the Director of Product Engineering, a role they have held since February 2020.

Mike Watkins attended Moorpark College from 1999 to 2001, where they obtained a Certificate in Computer Science. In 2005, they briefly attended New Horizons Technical School to study MCSD, although the degree name was not specified.
