Daniel S. Schechter

Daniel S. Schechter is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Lausanne - UNIL and a Senior Attending Physician at CHUV. They are a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in infant, early childhood, and parental mental health, as well as pediatric consult-liaison psychiatry and psychotherapy. Daniel is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and the American Psychiatric Association, and they have contributed significantly to clinical research in child and adolescent psychiatry. Their extensive academic career includes roles at institutions such as NYU Langone Health and the University of Geneva, where they have focused on mental health evaluation, treatment, research, teaching, and administration.
