John Haanen is an accomplished immunologist with extensive experience in translational immunotherapy and a prominent role in cancer research. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Scientist in the Division of Immunology at NKI-AVL since January 2001, John also holds the position of Professor in translational immunotherapy of cancer at Leiden University Medical Center since October 2008. Additionally, John has been the Head of the Melanoma Clinic at CHUV | Lausanne University Hospital since May 2023 and leads the Research theme on Immunotherapy at The Netherlands Cancer Institute since July 2018.
