Raffaele Renella

Raffaele Renella, MD PhD, studied Medicine at the Université de Genève and completed pediatric training in Lausanne and Paris. They earned a PhD in Molecular Hematology at the University of Oxford before working at prestigious institutions such as the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Harvard Medical School, focusing on hematopoiesis and gene therapy. In 2015, Raffaele became the Attending Staff Physician and Head of the Research Laboratory for the Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Unit at CHUV, where they were promoted to Head in 2023. They also hold a position on the Board of Directors for the SPOG Schweizerische Pädiatrische Onkologie Gruppe and will serve as a Professor of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at the University of Lausanne in 2025.
