Amara Hakak, CPA, CA, is currently the Director of Accounting Policy and Advisory at CIBC. With over five years of experience in public accounting, Amara has a demonstrated history of conducting audits for public companies under IFRS and US GAAP, adhering to various auditing standards. Amara previously worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and held multiple roles, including Senior Manager and Manager, in Audit & Assurance at Deloitte. Amara earned their CPA CA designation from CPA Canada between 2016 and 2019.
