Avinash Sharma

Avinash Sharma is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in finance and management, currently serving as Director of Decision Support at CIBC since July 2007. In this role, Avinash leads a team of over 20 individuals, focusing on expense management for a budget exceeding $100 million, vendor and contract governance, business case development for strategic initiatives, and billing, inventory, and asset management. Prior roles at CIBC include Senior Manager in Expense Management and Finance, as well as Senior Consultant positions in Strategic Programs and Expense Planning. Avinash began the career as an Analyst at NORC at the University of Chicago. Academically, Avinash holds an MBA in Management from Queen's University, an MS in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, and a B.Sc. in Statistics from Loyola University Maryland.
