C. Eric Métivier

C. Eric Métivier is currently the Executive Vice President and Chief Risk Officer for Corporate and Private Credit at CIBC, a position held since 2025. Prior to this role, they served as Managing Director and Global Head of Corporate and Government Solutions at CIBC World Markets from 1996 to 2017, managing a team focusing on derivatives marketing and overseeing macro strategy research. They also held several leadership roles at CIBC Capital Markets, including Managing Director and Head of Global Corporate Banking from 2022 to 2025. C. Eric earned an MBA in Finance from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management and has completed additional courses in reconciliation education and securities.
