Catherine Carmel

Catherine Carmel has extensive experience in procurement, currently serving as the Director of Procurement at CIBC since May 2018, where responsibilities include managing end-to-end procurement activities for the International Sourcing team and focusing on indirect spend categories to support HR, Technology, Real Estate, and Operations Services. Prior to CIBC, Catherine worked at IBM India Pvt Ltd from November 2005 to November 2017 in various roles, including Senior Procurement Manager and Procurement Program Manager for The Caribbean's, where expertise in sourcing strategies and operations management was developed. Catherine holds a Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology from St Josephs College, earned between 1999 and 2002.
