Chris Patterson

Chris Patterson is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in the financial services sector, currently serving as the Head of Enterprise AI Platforms and Solutions at CIBC since March 2015. In this role, Chris drives the implementation of AI strategies, establishes governance standards, and promotes AI initiatives organization-wide. Prior positions at CIBC include Senior Director overseeing equity markets technology and Director of Global Derivatives IT, where Chris managed a team focused on risk and valuation systems for traders. Prior to CIBC, Chris held various roles at Standard Bank Group, Barclays Investment Bank, BNP Paribas, and Hitachi Consulting, with a solid foundation in software engineering obtained from the University of Windsor.
