Dean Xiao

Dean Xiao is a Tax Lawyer and currently serves as a Senior Director in Tax Advisory at CIBC. They were an associate at McCarthy Tétrault LLP in Toronto from 2017 to 2024, specializing in general income tax practice after being called to the Ontario bar in 2017. Prior to law school, Dean practiced public accounting at EY, supporting clients in the financial services sector. Dean is also a licensed Chartered Professional Accountant and holds a Juris Doctor degree from Queen's University, where they were on the Dean’s Honour List. Currently, they are pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce at the Rotman School of Management.
