Joe Wei

Joe Wei is an experienced professional with a diverse background in fintech product delivery and geophysics. At CIBC from June 2021 to November 2024, Joe served as Director of Fintech Product Delivery for Simplii Financial Technology and Director of Trading Product Delivery/Business Systems Analysis for Direct Investing, following a role as Senior Manager/Senior Consultant in Business Systems Analysis. Prior to CIBC, Joe worked at ESG Solutions from June 2012 to January 2017, specializing in hydraulic fracturing and microseismic monitoring as a Project Manager and Senior Geophysicist, as well as supporting senior geophysicists as a Petroleum Geophysicist. Joe's career began at the Alberta Energy Regulator as a Junior Geophysicist and Geophysics Summer Student. Joe holds an MBA in Finance from Smith School of Business at Queen's University and a Bachelor of Science in Geophysics from the University of Alberta.
