Joseph Chiu

Joseph Chiu is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in asset management and financial services, currently serving as Senior Director of CIBC Asset Management Technology at CIBC since 2005. In this role, Joseph oversees a team responsible for delivering technology solutions for both institutional and retail businesses. Joseph has also held several senior positions within CIBC, including managing operations for Wealth Management and Capital Markets, as well as leading technology initiatives for the Chief Investment Officer's Office. Prior experience includes engineering roles at Evertz Microsystems, Avici Systems, Nortel Networks, and Chrontel, where Joseph developed software and hardware solutions for various complex systems. Joseph holds an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University, graduate courses in Business Administration from Harvard University, and a B.A.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto.
