Marc Gunter

Marc Gunter possesses extensive experience in technology leadership within the financial services sector, currently serving as Vice President of Cloud Engineering and Transformation at CIBC since March 2014. Gunter has held multiple vice president roles at CIBC, including Infrastructure, Planning and Engineering, and Equity Capital Markets and Investment Banking Technology. Prior positions include Head of Technology for Cash Equities at CIBC World Markets and Director of Electronic Trading at Canaccord Capital, where a global electronic trading strategy was developed. Gunter also served as VP of Technology at E*TRADE, overseeing software development and technology operations for international markets. Early career experiences include consulting at Nidak Associates and programming at Union Bank of Switzerland (Canada). Gunter holds a Masters Certificate in Financial Services from the Schulich School of Business and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science from Ryerson University.
