Steven Sloot

Steven Sloot is a seasoned professional in trading credit risk with extensive experience in model development and market risk management. They have held various leadership roles at Scotiabank, including Director of Counterparty Credit Risk and Senior Manager, as well as Director positions focused on market risk and credit risk for financial institutions. Currently, Steven serves as Senior Director of Trading Credit Risk at CIBC, where they continue to engage with regulators and senior management while managing diverse teams. Additionally, they are pursuing a Master of Science in Pure Mathematics at the University of Toronto and have completed a Bachelor of Mathematics with a major in Applied Mathematics and a minor in English Literature at the University of Waterloo.
