Sunil Gurushanta is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in application development and business systems analysis. Currently serving as the Director of Application Development at CIBC since June 2004, Sunil manages a $15 million budget and oversees a team dedicated to application delivery and support for the Anti-Money Laundering group. Prior to CIBC, Sunil worked as a Senior Business Systems Analyst at GM Canada Ltd., where responsibilities included defining and implementing business-to-consumer applications related to vehicle purchasing and financing. Sunil also held a position as a Senior Consultant at AT&T Canada Ltd., focusing on data warehousing and integration for client networking orders, and served as a Business Architect at IBM Canada Ltd., where contributions included evolving the Visual Banker platform. Sunil holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from York University and a diploma in Business Computer Systems from Sheridan College.
