Tom Sumpster

Tom Sumpster is a seasoned professional in infrastructure financing with over 20 years of experience in direct investing, advising, arranging, and underwriting in the global private capital markets. Currently, Sumpster serves as the Head of Infrastructure Finance in Corporate Banking Europe at CIBC. Previously, they held senior leadership roles at Phoenix Group and Legal & General Investment Management, where they focused on equity and debt investments in infrastructure and managed significant portfolios. Sumpster began their career at RBC Capital Markets, specializing in structured finance and acquisition financing. They hold a BSc in Business Economics and Accounting from the University of Southampton and are a Chartered Accountant.
