Shane Bussmann

Shane Bussmann is a Senior Data Scientist at CIBO Technologies. Prior to this role, Shane was a Lead Data Scientist at Understory, Inc., where Shane developed custom algorithms to measure rainfall and detect hail using data from remote sensors. Before that, Shane was a Health Data Science Fellow at Insight Data Science and a Research Associate at Cornell University, where Shane led research programs in star-formation in extreme environments. Further back, Shane was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics and a Graduate Student Researcher at The University of Arizona. Shane holds a Ph.D. in Astronomy from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Arts in Physics and Astrophysics from the University of California, Berkeley.
