Gretchen Okonek

Gretchen Okonek has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades. Gretchen currently works as a Client Services Manager at CIC Plus since 2017. Prior to this, they served as a Payroll Tax & Garnishment Manager at US Bank from 2016 to 2017.

Their longest tenure was with Target Corporation where they started in 1996. During their time at Target, Gretchen held various roles including Supervisor, International Payroll & Domestic Tax from 2010 to 2016, International Payroll Analyst from 2008 to 2010, Payroll Tax Supervisor from 2004 to 2008, Payroll Processing Lead promoted to Supervisor from 2001 to 2004, and Payroll Associate promoted to Specialist from 1996 to 2001.

In their role as Supervisor, International Payroll & Domestic Tax at Target, Gretchen managed a team responsible for tax reporting and international payroll for multiple EINs and ensured accurate payment of US wages and reporting of worldwide income for international assignees. Gretchen also acted as a liaison with the Global Mobility team to resolve pay questions and issues. Additionally, Gretchen provided wage, tax, and deduction reporting to Host Country Finance teams.

As a Payroll Tax Supervisor at Target, they supervised a team responsible for payroll tax compliance and maintained partnerships with government agencies and internal teams. Gretchen played a lead role in implementing an online W2 system.
