Bin Guan

Bin Guan has extensive experience in equity research, particularly in the energy sector. Currently serving as Managing Director at CICC since March 2010, Bin Guan has led research coverage across the oil and gas value chain, maintained various publications, and developed investment banking opportunities, achieving top rankings in AsiaMoney and Institutional Investor from 2010 to 2016. Previously, Bin Guan was a Senior Director at Merrill Lynch from July 2003 to December 2008, contributing to global and Asia Pacific energy sector teams, and serving as the global research coordinator for China's A-share market, while also building the research operation in Shanghai. Earlier experience includes a role as Senior Associate at CICC from May 2000 to July 2003, focusing on oil and petrochemical equity research. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Finance from Imperial College London and a BA in Economics from the University of International Business and Economics.
