Lawrence Lai

Lawrence Lai is a Portfolio Manager at 中金公司 in the Asset Management Department of CICC Singapore Pte. Limited since September 2022. Prior to this role, Lawrence served as an Executive Director and Asia Rates and EM Flow Strategist at Standard Chartered Bank from July 2009 to September 2022, specializing in emerging market local currency rates, FX flow, and cross-asset flow strategies. Lawrence gained recognition as one of the Pan Asia Top 5 local currency bond individuals in research from 2018 to 2021 and was honored as the Best Overall Interest Rate Research Analyst in 2015 and 2014. Early career experience includes a role as an Analyst in Financial Markets Sales at Standard Chartered Bank and a Summer Analyst position at Deutsche Bank. Lawrence holds a Master’s Degree in Money and Banking from National Chengchi University and a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Trade and Finance from Fu Jen Catholic University.
