Zhen Sun

Zhen Sun is a skilled Development Engineer for Printed Electronics at Cicor Group since March 2019, specializing in aerosol jet printing technology. Zhen's previous experience includes serving as a Postdoctoral researcher at Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI) from November 2016 to January 2018, working on the CTI project LIGAMAT focused on the development of electrodeposited NiFe alloys and their heat treatment optimization for LIGA microparts. Prior to this role, Zhen was a Doctoral Student at PSI from June 2012 to August 2016, conducting in situ mechanical testing on nanocrystalline metals, which contributed to predictive modeling of their mechanical behavior. Zhen also gained experience during a Master Thesis Project at Fraunhofer ILT in early 2011, where the focus was on laser beam welding of ultra-high strength lean chromium steels. Zhen holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from EPFL, a Master's degree from RWTH Aachen University, and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Science and Technology Beijing.
