Margot Carter is the Co-Founder and Investor of Cien. Margot has over 25 years of experience as a lawyer and business executive. Prior to Cien, they were the EVP, Chief Legal Officer & Secretary and RealPage, Inc. from 2010 to 2015. From 2004 to 2007, they served as the EVP, General Counsel & Secretary of The Princeton Review, Inc. Margot was also the VP and Asst General Counsel of Cantor Fitzgerald and eSpeed from 2001 to 2003. In 1996, they became the EVP, General Counsel & Secretary of SourceHOV and held that position until 2000.

Margot Carter has a JD from Fordham University School of Law, a BA from Binghamton University, a Certificate in Finance from Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business, and a Director's College from Stanford Law School. Margot also has an Executive Certificate in Artificial Intelligence from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
