Alan Godfrey

Alan Godfrey is an industrial research scientist currently working as a Senior Optical System Designer at Ciena. Previously, Alan served as an Associate Research Scientist at Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited, where they focused on research and development. Alan obtained a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Ottawa, where their research centered on ultrafast-laser-induced surface microstructures, under the supervision of Prof. Paul Corkum. Prior to earning their Ph.D., Alan completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Chemical Physics at Trent University and was actively involved in various student organizations throughout their academic journey.
