Bas van Wesenbeeck has over 25 years of experience in technical support and customer service within the telecommunications industry. Beginning a career at Nortel as a Technical Support Engineer from 1996 to 2000, Bas provided technical assistance for DMS customers across the EMEA region. Following this role, Bas spent over two decades at Ciena, starting in December 2001 and continuing until January 2022, where responsibilities included serving as a Customer Services Manager, acting as the primary customer contact for orders and services within the Benelux and UK markets, and later transitioning to the role of Customer Success Advocate. Bas holds a Master’s degree in Applied Physics from Eindhoven University of Technology, completed from 1990 to 1996.
