Bo Gowan

Bo Gowan serves as the Director of B2B Social Media at Ciena since March 2010, overseeing the social media program and acting as the editor for the Ciena Insights blog while managing multiple social media platforms. Additionally, Bo Gowan holds the position of Board Chair at SocialMedia.org, a membership organization for social media leaders from major brands, since July 2018. Previously, Bo Gowan worked at Nortel from February 1996 to March 2010, where responsibilities included leading the corporate social media strategy, serving as editor of Nortel Buzzboard, and managing various marketing communications initiatives. Bo Gowan earned an MBA in Marketing from the University of North Texas between 1991 and 1997.
