Boris Rosenstein Levin

Boris Rosenstein Levin is a seasoned expert in nonlinear optics and photonics, with experience in both research and engineering roles across various organizations. As a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Ottawa, Boris conducted theoretical and experimental research on distributed feedback lasers and on-chip photonics. Previous roles include System Engineer and Physicist at Elbit Systems Ltd, where Boris led system-level R&D for large-scale laser projects, and Senior Physicist at Oxitone Medical, focusing on opto-electronic sensors for SpO2 measurement. With a background in high-power fiber lasers and photonic crystal fibers from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Boris has also contributed to academic environments as a lecturer and teaching assistant in subjects related to physics and laser engineering. Currently, Boris serves as a Senior Product Engineer at Ciena after holding a position as a Senior Optical Systems Engineer at Honeywell and a Design Authority/Engineer Principal at Lumentum.
