Bruce Hembree

Bruce Hembree is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in sales and management within the telecommunications industry. Currently, Bruce serves as Vice President and General Manager for the Americas at Ciena since 2017, having previously held roles as Vice President and General Manager for North America. Prior to Ciena, Bruce was EVP of Worldwide Sales and Field Operations at Metaswitch Networks from 2013 to 2016, and held various senior leadership positions at JDSU from 2005 to 2013, including SVP of Global Sales. Bruce also contributed to the industry as a Board Member at ATIS between 2007 and 2013. Earlier career roles include leadership positions at Acterna, Telecommunications Techniques Corporation (TTC), and a foundational role as a Sales Engineer at Telecommunications Techniques Corporation. Bruce earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, graduating in 1988.
