David Steele

David Steele possesses extensive experience in the telecommunications sector, currently serving as a Packet Systems Advisor and BluePlanet Product Owner at Ciena since 2009. Prior to this role, David held multiple positions at Nortel from 1995 to March 2010, including Metro Ethernet Networks Security Advisor and various roles focused on security and systems advisory. David began a career at Bell-Northern Research as an OC192/DX Connection Management Prime and earlier worked as a Software Designer at Micronav International. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of New Brunswick, earned between 1983 and 1987.
