Dino DiPerna

Dino DiPerna is a seasoned executive in the field of research and development, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Global Research & Development at Ciena since March 2010. In this role, Dino DiPerna oversees a global team of 3,700 professionals, focusing on advancements in photonic and optical engineering, electro-optic components, and software development for Routing and Switching platforms, as well as Network Control and Planning applications. Prior to joining Ciena, Dino DiPerna held the position of Vice President of Optical Transport R&D at Nortel from January 2000 to March 2010. Dino DiPerna earned a degree from McGill University.
