Frederic Poulin

Frederic Poulin is a seasoned professional in optical engineering, currently serving as Senior Manager of Optical Engineering at Ciena since January 2019, after holding the position of Senior Optical System Designer. Prior to this, Frederic worked at Rockport Networks Inc. as Principal Designer/Architect from November 2016 to January 2019 and returned to Ciena in various roles, including Senior Software Designer from March 2010 to November 2016. Frederic's career began at Nortel Networks as an Optical System Designer from May 2001 to March 2010 and at Lab-Volt as a Student Software Developer from June 1998 to April 2001. Frederic holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Université Laval, completed between 1997 and 2001.
