Jacques Marchildon is a seasoned software developer with extensive experience in product development, team leadership, and project management. Marchildon began a professional career at Nortel in June 1994, where responsibilities included leading the Passport System Team and developing critical software components. After promoting through various roles at Nortel, including a position as Senior Software Developer and Development Prime for BCM Product Development, Marchildon transitioned to Avaya in December 2009, serving as Development Prime for IP Office Product Development and leading Agile teams. Currently, Marchildon holds the position of Senior Software Engineer at Ciena since November 2015. Academic qualifications include a Technologist degree in Electronic Engineering from SIAST Palliser Campus and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Alberta.
