Jeff Groom

Jeff Groom is an experienced Solutions Architect with a substantial tenure at Ciena, spanning multiple roles since November 2001, including significant achievements as Ciena SE of the Year in 2010. Groom has developed innovative SDN solutions and contributed to major account wins in Carrier Ethernet. Prior to this, experience includes serving as a Senior Planning Engineer at Windstream Communications, where responsibilities included financial and technical evaluations, and managing budgets for VoIP networks, as well as roles at Cisco Systems and Overture Networks focusing on customer technical requirements and application deployments. Earlier career highlights include work at Nortel Networks, leading a nationwide VoIP solution for Qwest, and serving as a Switch Operator in the US Army's 82nd Airborne.
