Jim Parker is a seasoned professional in sales engineering with extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, currently serving as a Senior Consultant in Sales Engineering at Ciena since April 2022. With a long-standing tenure at Ciena Government Solutions since April 2010, Jim has played a vital role in assisting sales teams in positioning Optical and Carrier Ethernet Networking Solutions for Federal customers. Prior to this, Jim held significant positions at Nortel Government Solutions and Nortel, including roles as Senior Manager of Sales Engineering and Optical Architect, where expertise in Optical Networks for the Federal Market was demonstrated. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology from Southern Polytechnic State University, earned in 1988.
