Jo Kwok

Jo Kwok serves as Corporate Counsel in Employment and Corporate Compliance at Ciena since May 2021, where responsibilities include Employment Legal Prime for the Asia Pacific region. Jo leads the Asian@Ciena employee resource group, promoting the development of employees with Asian heritage while fostering a supportive community. Additionally, Jo holds the position of Asia Pacific Regional Lead for Next@Ciena, which supports early career individuals and allies. Prior experience includes serving as a Solicitor at Herbert Smith Freehills, working on projects related to Energy and Construction, as well as a Trainee Solicitor in Corporate TMT and a Paralegal at the Employment Law Centre of WA. Jo's academic credentials include multiple law degrees from The University of Western Australia, a graduate diploma from The College of Law Australia, and an international exchange program at The University of Hong Kong.
