Jon Ward

Jon Ward is a Consultant in Field Systems Engineering at Ciena, where they focus on pre-sales engineering and packet optical global mesh architecture planning. With over 15 years of experience supporting Verizon, Jon emphasizes control plane architectures and the standardization of next-generation packet optical networks. They began their career as a Production UNIX Systems Administrator at MCI Worldcomm before transitioning to various engineering roles at Ciena since 2000. Jon holds a degree in Engineering, Computer Science from Oklahoma Christian University, obtained in 1996.
