Kevin Farley has extensive experience in the field of optical systems, currently serving as a Research Scientist Engineer specializing in Coherent Optical Systems at Ciena since 2010. In this role, Kevin focuses on the research and development of next-generation coherent modems. Prior to this position, Kevin worked at Nortel Networks from 1991 to 2010, holding titles as Senior Optical Systems Designer and Optical Designer. Kevin holds a degree in Applied Physics from the University of Bath, obtained from 1992 to 1996, and studied Physics at Penn State University from 1994 to 1995.
