Luis Gomez

Luis Gomez, MBA, is an accomplished sales professional with extensive experience in the telecommunications industry. Currently serving as Senior Director of Sales at Ciena since June 2020, Luis previously held the position of Director of Sales at Nokia for a brief period in 2019. A long tenure at Cisco from July 2000 to September 2019 included various roles such as Regional Sales Manager, Product Sales Specialist, Business Development Manager, Account Manager, and Systems Engineer. Earlier in the career, Luis worked as an Account Executive at Siemens and as a Network Engineer at Alcatel, as well as serving as an Implementation Manager at MCI Telecommunications Corporation. Luis holds an Executive MBA from Texas McCombs School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Cockrell School of Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin, with additional education from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
